The University Fire Department’s mission is to provide professional fire, rescue, and medical services to our community while developing leaders in tomorrow’s emergency services workforce. We fulfill this mission with 42 student firefighters, complimented with 12 hardworking staff officers. In addition to being full time firefighters, our students carry a full-time academic load (12 credits a semester).
In an effort to recognize the extraordinary work our firefighters and officers do throughout the year, we hold a University Fire Department Awards Banquet. This event can only come to fruition with funds raised privately, not using public or taxpayer funds.
Please consider contributing to the University Fire Department Support Fund!
Your generous gift will support the University Fire Department and event expenses including the meal, awards and the event space. Any funds not used for this year’s event will stay in the support fund for future awards events, training events, scholarships, and other opportunities to support our department. We will recognize the sponsors/donors at the event.
