Dear staff and faculty,
Last month, UA President Pitney communicated a change in Ìýas a result of President Biden’s executive order. Since that Nov. 2 communication,
UA HR has sent additional emails to ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ× employees regarding COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
As you may know, earlier this week a federal district court in Georgia issued a nationwide
injunction that blocks implementation of President Biden’s executive order that created
the federal contractor COVID-19 vaccine mandates. President Pitney is working with
legal counsel and others to determine the impacts of this injunction on ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ×’s Troth
Yeddha’ employee vaccine requirement.Ìý
Please be patient as this issue is worked out. I expect a UA-wide message to come
from the president in this regard in the coming day or two.
