Dear ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ× community,

The nation continues to grapple with violence as evidenced by the recent shootings in Atlanta, Georgia, and Boulder, Colorado. Discrimination and violence are antithetical to our ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ× value of belonging and our strategic goal of growing our culture of respect, diversity, inclusion and caring. As a university, we must be a place where faculty, staff, students and community members feel safe and welcome, free from fear for who we are or where we come from.

Each one of us is an important part of a community that is richer and stronger because of its diversity. Education and civil discourse are key to turning differences into a constructive and collective future. In that spirit I ask everyone at ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ× to do your part to make ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ× a place of belonging, where we can live, study, and work in safety and security, and where we grow as a community enriched by diversity and inclusion.

Thank you for playing your part and thanks for choosing ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ×.
