New Article Explores Forest Health and Powering Alaska Native Communities
An article recently published in Western Forester explores the use of locally harvested wood to heat schools in communities around Alaska.
The article titled , authored by ACEPās Daisy Huang, U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Serviceās Dave Nicholls and ĪŽĀėĀŅĀ× Cooperative Extension Serviceās Art Nash, provides case studies for seven predominantly Alaska Native communities, and shares the ātriple bottom lineā financial, environmental and social benefits.
