ACEP Welcomes Phylicia Cicilio to Team

ACEP welcomes Phylicia Cicilio to the team. She comes to us from her most recent position as a graduate fellow at Idaho National Laboratory.

Cicilio brings much-needed power system modeling expertise to ACEP and will be leading these efforts for ACEP's , ā€œDevelopment and Validation of Models to Assess Dynamic Response of Converter-Dominated Power Systems across Multiple Spatiotemporal Scales,ā€ as well as a , ā€œRapidly Viable and Sustained Grid.ā€

Cicilio will focus on power systems modeling of converter-based systems, microgrids, and large electrical grids across numerous time scales. She has a varied background in power systems, having spent time at Peak Reliability (former Western Interconnect Reliability Coordinator), ISO New England, and while completing her PhD at Oregon State University.

Cicilio is excited to start playing baritone saxophone in the Fairbanks music community and enjoy backpacking and bikepacking in the area.

Phylicia Cicilio helps integrate solar panels and other renewable energy sources into minigrids that combine local, small-scale electric generation with village-sized distribution networks.
