Christie Haupert joins ACEP as the Anchorage project manager. While not an energy expert, Haupert does have a background in research science and project management. She served as the inaugural technician/manager of the based at the Toolik Field Station (operated and managed by ĪŽĀėĀŅĀ×), spent a decade working as a project manager for the National Science Foundation's , and most recently worked as a research coordinator for the .

Haupert will help coordinate data, create deliverables and outreach products, and develop stakeholder relationships for the Solar Technologies Program, the Data Collection and Analysis Program and the emerging electric vehicle research efforts.

While based in Anchorage with a home in the rustic hillside neighborhood of Bear Valley, Haupert, and her partner, Matias, still have a simple log cabin in the hills of Fairbanks near Murphy Dome. They enjoy returning to Fairbanks as often as possible. And they spend much of their free time on trails or up on a mountain ridge. Currently rounding out the family is a sprint husky, Hillie, from Rooster Tail Kennel in Fairbanks. Named after the mountaineering book ā€œFreedom of the Hills,ā€ Hillie challenges them each day to get outside and run fast.
