Wind Turbine Installed at Prudhoe Bay Met-Station

ACEP’s Jeremy Kasper and Stephanie Jump recently returned from Prudhoe Bay after deploying a wind turbine and retrieving an oceanographic mooring.

During their three-day fieldwork, Kasper and Jump installed a wind turbine to provide year-round power for a meteorological station at the southern end of Foggy Island Bay.

In addition, they retrieved images from cameras monitoring coastal change at the site. A seasonal mooring was retrieved before the winter ice sets as well. Funding for this research is provided by the as part of the .
