Home Energy Basics Class Offered through ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ× and CCHRC

Tom Marsik, known for the Sustainable Energy Program he developed for the ÎÞÂëÂÒÂ× Bristol Bay Campus, has now created a distance learning (online) class through and called Home Energy Basics (ENVI 120).

 The class starts this week and throughout the month of October (). 

 This 1 credit class covers the basics of space heating and electricity use and production for Alaskan homes. Main topics include fundamentals of physics related to home energy, lighting and appliances, energy bills, building science, retrofits, home renewable energy systems. Course emphasizes how to decrease fossil fuel consumption of homes. .
